'Edinbane Vase' is a small original watercolour painting by Scottish Artist and Illustrator Mary Carroll. On the Isle of Skye, there is a small village by the name of Edinbane where a pottery was founded in 1971. I first visited the pottery in the late 1990s and most recently in 2020. This small watercolour painting shows my little vase containing the first of the year’s sweet peas along with some delicate fleabane. Framed, after being mounted under glass, this piece measures 22.5cm x 22.5cm with the drawing measuring 10cm x 10cm.
